Peter and Robin were both born and raised in Newfoundland, but spent most of their 20s and 30s away. They dated when they were in high school only to reconnect 20 years later, after each felt the call of home. Peter and Robin began to make sea salt in 2011 and formed the Newfoundland Salt Company in early 2012.
Through trial and error, Peter refined his method of salt making at Raymonds restaurant where he was chef. Robin has an extensive retail and customer service background, and has helped shape the company into what it is today.
Use it to finish both savoury and sweet dishes. Enjoy our salt on such foods as fish, steaks, salads and fresh bread and butter. Also enjoy it on sweets such as cookies, brownies, and even ice cream. Put it on anything that you want to enhance the flavour of, we do!
